About
Hi, I’m RottenSod, the culprit! I wrote the original version of FairyBed for the Acorn Electron as that was the computer my mother had. With a lot of poking and prodding by my son I updated the program for the later RiscOS computers. I then went a stage or two further and converted the program for the internet.
I am continually developing the program, as well as working on the Mark II version – TASK, but my main web site is w-f-t.co.uk where you will find information about the Williams Family Tree.
FairyBed is essentially a very easy game, or at least I thought it was! The game is based on the once popular text adventures and you only need to enter two words to form a command – any more than two and we get confuddled.
You start on a patio outside a house and have the option of going down the steps and wandering around the village or sitting down on the seat. There are many objects to be found and most can be used for more than one purpose but if you make the wrong choice you can lose the object and therefore fail to finish the game.
Most people seem to get stuck outside the school as they are unable to pass by the goats. However, goats are goats and if you apply what you already know about goats and their ilk I am sure you can get past them with ease – can’t you elbowgreece?
I may add to this later but for now good luck with your adventure and enjoy!
